FOR E-COMMERCE STORES

Your store is leaking sales before they even reach Google.

E-commerce SEO is technical SEO with the volume turned up. A thousand product pages multiply every mistake. We audit your store the way a senior in-house e-commerce SEO would: structure first, schema second, content third. One flat fee of £79. No retainer.

What we look for in your audit.

Every audit includes the same a prioritised action plan. For e-commerce stores, these are the six areas that matter most.

01

Product schema, properly attributed

Most e-commerce sites have Product schema, but the price, availability, brand, GTIN, and aggregate rating fields are missing or wrong. Google needs all five to show your products in the Shopping carousel and the rich-result panel. We list every product page where the schema is incomplete and tell you exactly which field is missing.

02

Faceted navigation and crawl waste

Filters like /shop?color=red&size=large generate thousands of low-value URLs that compete with your real product pages. We identify which facets should be noindexed, which should be canonicalised, and which are quietly eating your crawl budget without ever ranking.

03

Duplicate content across variants

Colour and size variants on the same product often share identical descriptions, which is fine. The same description on a hundred unrelated products is not. We surface near-duplicate detection across your catalogue so the highest-value SKUs get unique content treatment.

04

Internal linking from category to product

Most stores under-link. The category page links to the product, the product links nowhere. We map your internal link graph and flag products that are buried three or four clicks from the homepage. These are the pages you are hoping rank but Google barely indexes.

05

Core Web Vitals on mobile product pages

Product pages are the slowest pages on most e-commerce sites because of high-resolution image galleries and tag managers. We pull live PageSpeed Insights data, identify the largest blocking resource, and tell you the one change that moves the needle on LCP. Usually image format. Sometimes a chat widget.

06

Cart abandonment from SEO landing pages

We do not look at your conversion funnel directly, but we do flag where your top organic landing pages are sending visitors to pages with low intent match. A blog post ranking for a buying-intent query is leaking sales. So is a category page that buries the product grid below the fold.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions we get a lot.

If your question is not here, email hello@bumpupseo.com and a real human (not a chatbot) will reply, usually within a few hours.

How long will my e-commerce SEO audit take to deliver?

Under one hour, usually under thirty minutes. Our system crawls the rendered HTML of your store, analyses it against our prioritised e-commerce framework, and emails you the report. No call required, no scheduling, no back and forth.

Does the audit work for stores with hundreds of products?

Yes. The audit is based on patterns and templates rather than reviewing each product individually. A 2,000 SKU store gets the same depth of analysis as a 20 SKU store, because the recommendations apply across your category and product templates uniformly.

Will the audit work on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or my custom build?

All of them. The audit reads your rendered HTML, schema, and crawl data, not your underlying stack. We have dedicated guidance for Shopify specifically on the Shopify audit page, but the e-commerce audit works regardless of platform.

Do I need a developer to apply the changes?

Most fixes do not require one. Title tags, meta descriptions, alt text, and most schema can be done in your admin panel. A small number of items (such as faceted navigation rules or Core Web Vitals work) may need a developer hour or two. Each recommendation in the report flags whether it is a self-serve or developer task.

What if my store does not actually have any major SEO issues?

Then the report tells you that and lists smaller, optimisation-level wins instead. The audit is honest about what it finds and what it does not. Once delivered, the work is complete, but the report still gives you a clear picture of your current SEO health and any minor optimisations worth doing.
