FOR WOOCOMMERCE STORES

WooCommerce gives you everything, including the rope.

WordPress plus WooCommerce is the most flexible e-commerce stack on the planet. It is also the easiest one to ruin with the wrong plugin, the wrong theme, or the wrong SEO settings. We audit your store against the failure patterns we see again and again on WooCommerce builds. £79 flat.

What we look for in your audit.

Every audit includes the same a prioritised action plan. For WooCommerce stores, these are the six areas that matter most.

01

The Yoast versus Rank Math versus All in One mess

WooCommerce sites usually have at least one SEO plugin, sometimes two installed at different times. The leftover meta from a deactivated plugin lives in the database and silently overrides what the active one produces. We pull your live page source and tell you which plugin is actually writing your meta tags.

02

Plugin bloat and Core Web Vitals

The median WooCommerce store runs 25 active plugins. Each one adds CSS, JavaScript, and queries on every page load. By the time the LCP fires you are at 5 seconds. We identify which plugins are dragging your speed scores and which can be replaced with a few lines of code in functions.php.

03

Product variants and duplicate URLs

WooCommerce creates a URL per variation by default. A shirt with 3 colours and 4 sizes is 12 indexable URLs of the same product. We check whether your variation URLs are properly canonicalised or whether you are diluting your own rankings.

04

Category and shop page thinness

The default WooCommerce category page is a product grid with no copy. Google ranks these poorly against competitors who add a paragraph of category context. We tell you which categories deserve copy, and roughly how much.

05

WordPress tag and attribute archives

WooCommerce attribute pages (size, colour, brand) and WordPress tag pages create hundreds of thin templated URLs. Most stores have these indexable when they should not be. We list exactly which URL patterns to noindex in your robots or via your SEO plugin.

06

Image SEO from the media library

WordPress lets you upload images, WooCommerce lets you set product images, but neither prompts for alt text or filenames. We sample your product image alt coverage and tell you what percentage is missing or auto-generated.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions we get a lot.

If your question is not here, email hello@bumpupseo.com and a real human (not a chatbot) will reply, usually within a few hours.

Will the audit work with my custom WooCommerce theme?

Yes. We see the rendered HTML your theme produces, so theme-level issues (broken schema, missing canonicals, blocked rendering) show up regardless of which theme you use. We do not need theme access, the audit reads what Google reads.

Does the audit cover my plugins?

It covers what your plugins output. If a plugin is producing broken schema or duplicate meta, we will catch it and tell you which plugin is responsible. We do not audit plugin code or recommend specific replacements unless they are obviously misconfigured.

I use WooCommerce on a multisite. Can you audit that?

Yes. Share the primary store URL when you order. If you want each subsite audited separately you would need one audit per subsite.

What if I run WooCommerce with a headless front end (Next.js, Gatsby)?

We audit the live front end your customers see. If your headless build introduces broken canonicals or missing schema we will catch it, but the recommendations will reference your front-end code, not the WordPress admin.

Do you check WooCommerce-specific schema like Product, Offer, Review?

Yes. WooCommerce themes and plugins emit product schema in different ways and it is often broken in subtle places (missing brand, wrong availability format). We check it on live URLs and flag the exact fields to fix.
