FOR SQUARESPACE SITES

Squarespace looks great. The SEO underneath is often a different story.

Squarespace is a beautiful website builder with quiet SEO compromises. Some you can fix in the dashboard, some are template-level, some are platform limits you need to work around. We audit your site against the failure patterns we see again and again on Squarespace. £79 flat.

What we look for in your audit.

Every audit includes the same a prioritised action plan. For Squarespace sites, these are the six areas that matter most.

01

The hidden SEO settings most owners never touch

Squarespace puts important SEO settings (page-level meta, social images, structured data toggles, default text patterns) in places the default editor flow does not visit. We list which of these are misconfigured on your site, page by page.

02

Page titles that all start with your site name

Squarespace defaults to appending your site name to every page title in a format that wastes the most important ranking real estate. We tell you exactly which title format to use and where in the settings to change it.

03

Template limits and what they cost you

Some Squarespace templates do not let you add custom code blocks where you need them, do not surface schema fields, or do not let you edit slug patterns. We tell you whether your current template is the limiting factor and which templates fix it without a full rebuild.

04

Missing schema on product, article, and FAQ content

Squarespace generates some schema automatically but not the kinds that drive rich results. Article schema is often incomplete, FAQ schema is missing entirely, Product schema needs fields the editor never asks for. We flag what is missing and where to inject it via code injection or a section's HTML block.

05

Redirect rules and the trailing slash trap

Squarespace handles trailing slashes inconsistently and the URL Mappings panel is the only place to fix it. Most sites have dozens of pages indexed at both versions, diluting their own rankings. We list the redirect rules to add to your URL Mappings.

06

The Squarespace blog SEO mistakes that compound

Tags, categories, and the default author page all create thin indexable URLs. Add a few hundred blog posts and you have a thousand near-duplicate pages. We list which of these should be noindexed and how to do it via code injection.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Questions we get a lot.

If your question is not here, email hello@bumpupseo.com and a real human (not a chatbot) will reply, usually within a few hours.

Will the audit work if I do not have a developer?

Yes. The audit is written to be implementable by the site owner. About 80% of Squarespace audit recommendations are dashboard changes that take minutes. The rest are code injection snippets we provide as copy-paste blocks.

Do I need to share my Squarespace login?

No, never. We fetch your public URLs the same way Google does. We never need access to your admin, your billing, or your customer data.

Will the audit work with Squarespace Commerce?

Yes. If you sell on Squarespace we check product schema, collection page structure, and shipping page indexation. The audit covers Squarespace Commerce stores as well as content-only sites.

What if I am on an old Squarespace template (7.0) versus the new 7.1?

The audit covers both. The recommendations differ because the editors differ, but the underlying issues (missing schema, weak titles, redirect gaps) exist on both. We tailor the implementation steps to the version your site is on.

Can the audit help me decide whether to move off Squarespace?

Sometimes. If your audit finds 5+ template limitations that are blocking your SEO, we will say so directly. Most Squarespace sites do not need to migrate, they need to use the platform's existing SEO settings properly.
